American, 19th century, round 6 in. barrel reads "1846 RPP", .54 caliber, walnut stock, brass band, swivel and lock ramrod, brass buttcap reads "R", lock plate reads "USN 1845, N.P. Ames, Springfield, Mass"; round 8-1/2 in. barrel, walnut stock, brass band, raised brass sight, swivel and lock ramrod, brass backstrap and buttcap, lock plate reads "US H Aston & Co", Middtn Conn, 1852", ordinance stamps on left side

patina, pitting, corrossion and surface scratching to metal throughout, crack to stock on Ames pistol near top screw, some loss to wood around lock plate of Aston, marring to wood screws throughout
