Two H. Aston Percussion Pistols Model 1842

American, 1849 and 1850, 54 percussion, National Armory Bright barrel, lock and swivel ramrod, brass barrel band and side plate, raised brass sights, trigger guard buttcap and back strap, black walnut stock, lock plates marked "US H. Aston, Middtn/Conn./1849 (on one), and 1850 (the other)", both with oval ordinance inspection stamps, 8-1/2 in. barrels

Provenance:From the Estate of Judge David Creekmore, Knoxville, Tennessee

Condition:

one ramrod fused into place, hammer and trigger mechanisms in working order, pitting and dark patina to metal barrels, scratching and marring to brass, especially on buttcap, marring to screw heads
