Rare George I Red Cedar Desk and Bookcase

British or possibly Bermuda, early 18th century, upper case with panel doors opening to finely fitted interior over fitted desk with till, dovetailed drawers, bracket feet, appears to be red cedar throughout, possibly some other conifers in secondary, 96 x 40 x 23 in.

Provenance:The Dudley and Constance Godfrey Foundation

Condition:

generally good condition, scattered patches and repairs at hinges and locks, feet and brasses replaced, probably original finials with replaced flame tops
