Japanese, 18th/19th century, square bottle decorated in relief and enameled colors with lions among flowers in a rocky garden, the top decorated with a crane in flight, 7-1/2 x 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 in.

Note: Accompanying is an old label which reads, "From Mace Muller's Collection - Imari. Water bottle bought in Kioto in 1627. only two made, maker then died."
