Note:

This rare sculpture is the work of Fernand Fonssagrives who was revered as one of the earliest and greatest beauty photographers. His father was a sculptor which may have inspired him to sculpt after a time of disillusionment with commercial photography. He returned to New York after a period in Spain and promptly sold his sculptures. Always focused on the beauty of the female form he depicts Peggy Fleming (1968 Olympic gold medalist) in a "layback" spin, a difficult move in skating.
