Two Reclining Classical Figures, after the antique by Phidias, detail of the east pediment of the Parthenon, inscribed "Restauré par Lequesne d'apres Phidias", Gautier, Editeur, also stamped "200", silver-plated bronze, 14 x 25 x 9-1/2 in.

Note: Lequesne finished by interpreting the missing arms and heads lacking on the antique.

Condition:

wear to plate, tarnished, some spots of corrosion, small points of paint accretion
