Middleton, Connecticut, 1854, single shot, round, 8-1/2 in., steel barrel with proof-mark, raised brass sight, button-head swivel ramrod, figured walnut stock with rich patination, steel lock, plate, reads "US/I.N.Johnson/MIDDtn/CONN/1854", brass band and side plate, back strap, buttcap, trigger guard and plate, cartouche marks at left stock

working mechanism, stock loss at side plate, other typical wear and abrasions, pitting, corrosion, rust at metal
