40 in. octagonal to round barrel, lock plate marked "1864" behind hammer, eagle with shield/U.S./Parker'sSnow&Co./Meriden,Conn." in front of hammer, "US" marked butt plate, three barrel bands marked "U", metal ramrod, firing mechanism appears to work
Provenance:From the Estate of Judge David Creekmore, Knoxville, Tennessee
Condition:
a mix of gray and brown patina to metal, mild pitting around breech, flash wear above the hammer, general scratches, dents and dings, loss of stock at breech tang, loss of finish to wood, horizontal crack to wrist, cracks to butt stock, missing one sling swivel, the one present is rusted
