This superb micromosaic table was deaccessioned by
the Hickory Museum of Art in our September 6, 2003
auction. The top was attributed to Giacomo Raffaelli
(Italian, 1753-1836), and the base was probably
designed by British collector and designer
Thomas Hope (1769-1831). After a protracted battle
between several international bidders in the room and
on the phones, the table was hammered down at
$400,000.

Brunk Auctions has worked with numerous museums and institutions throughout the southeast to sell deaccessioned fine and decorative arts. Our high production color catalogs, full internet listings, and national advertising, combined with our color brochures that are sent to over 18,000 buyers internationally, help insure top prices are achieved. With several former museum employees on staff, we are attuned to the needs specific to institutional sales. We regularly consult with museums on the marketability of proposed deaccessions, and offer favorable consignment terms for non-profit institutions.
